Why you shold be watching The Wonder List

The Wonder List premiered it’s second season last night! One of my favourite shows since it began early last year, this series documents unique people, animals, and ecosystems around the world with the mission of surviving long enough for future generations to experience. These involve taken-for-granted undertakings like climbing a glacier, exploring beautiful, isolated South Pacific Islands, seeing elephants and lions in their natural habitats, and swimming in fresh water lakes throughout North America. The underlying question throughout this series is will my kids and grand kids get to experience life as we have?

This absolutely fascinating series is accompanied with breathtaking shots, and epic panoramas shot by renowned filmmaker, Philip Bloom. In this season Weir and Bloom are trekking across the world yet again, but now to destinations like the Galapagos Islands, Ikaria, Greece, the Taj Mahal in India, the Dead Sea, the Everglades, and Venice. I originally began watching this show due to my love and passion of travel. I loved tuning in weekly during this 8-part series to watch the places he traveled, and immediately would add it to my travel list. But the content and message of the show really draws you in to continue the journey with him, episode through episode.

I encourage anyone with an interest in travel, global initiatives on saving a preserving our planet, and of course, good photography and cinematography to tune in Sundays at 10 PM on CNN. Click here to preview the trailer for the second season!
